A necklace and a bracelet from one old belt

I have accumulated quite a few old belts from visits to thrift shops. I like making jewelry out of each 50-cent find.
I’ve made belt bracelets in the past. This time I made a bracelet and a necklace. Both pieces were made from one belt.
I was able to slide the beads onto a length of string I had on hand. The necklace can be closed just by tying the ends together.
I liked the faux soft leather-like strings on the belt and experimented with braiding them to make a bracelet. I wired some buttons onto the piece for decoration, kind of like the braided bracelets I made earlier this year. I haven’t attached any kind of clasp on it yet. I might take it apart and make a different kind of bracelet.
