Is there such a thing as organization amid chaos? My workspace in the Creative Cave has been getting pretty piled up. As soon as I try to pick up a spool of wire I knock a string of beads off of my worktable because I haven’t properly placed the beads in a container. But I am somehow always able to find what I am looking for, just not always quickly.
I decided it was time to organize, or at least put most of my supplies in their proper place. I had beads gathering in a sorting tray and all over a design tray. Not to mention coils of wire scattered about.
I have to say I was a bit surprised that this chore didn’t take longer. I will admit, though, that I probably could’ve done more, but I was happy with the outcome.
It may not look like much of a difference, but hey, at least you can see some of the tabletops. Oh, and if you see a soup can in one of the photos it is because I use it to initially shape the wire frames for my wire-wrapped cuff bracelets.
I even managed to brainstorm and began making some new earrings and a necklace and will share photos of those in another post. I also got back to work on those dreaded necklaces I had put aside for another time. You can read more about those necklaces here and here.
On a side note, I had a visitor during my time in the Creative Cave this particular day. My cat Kitty Bob chased a chipmunk into my cave (garage). I managed to keep them apart but the chipmunk ran further inside and hid. I haven't seen him escape but I have left the garage door open for that purpose. I asked Jules what chipmunks eat so I could lure him out, but with my luck I would just attract more chipmunks or bugs or other critters.
